NIOS Revised Marksheet: Easy process for correction in result

If you receive an original result and want a correction, what will you do?

Do you know you need to apply for NIOS revised marksheet?

Sometimes students apply for corrections on their original documents. There could be multiple reasons for this, like name changes, father’s or mother’s names, or correcting the date of birth.

So in this post I will guide you how to apply for NIOS revised marksheet and I will also share my recent experience.

What is NIOS Revised Marksheet?

A revised marksheet is like an updated result. It’s necessary when you apply for corrections for some important details like your name, father’s name, mother’s name, or date of birth.

The National Institute of Open Schooling has made it easy by providing an online service for this.

So, if there’s an error on your marksheet, like a wrong name or birthdate, you can use the E- service to apply for a corrected one. This online system is user-friendly, making it simple for students to apply for and receive corrected documents.

It ensures that your academic details are accurate and reflect the correct information.

How It Works

To fix mistakes in your NIOS marksheet, you need to use the online E-service option. Once they approve your correction request, you need to send your original result to the regional office.

How to apply for NIOS revised marksheet?

If you have applied for corrections after getting the original result, you need to apply for revised marksheet.

Here are the steps to apply online:

If your e-service request has been approved. You need to submit the original result /passing certificate to your RC.

Steps to follow after requesting a revised marksheet

Print your online application fees, write a letter to your regional director mentioning that I have applied for NIOS revised marksheet and hand over your old marksheet to your regional centre.

When will you get the updated documents?

After you submit your original documents to your Regional office, you’ll have to wait for about 45 days. After this waiting period, NIOS will send the corrected documents to your address.

Note: For the most up-to-date information, always check the official website.

My recent experience

Recently, I applied for father name correction through the student dashboard and got it verified within a month and after 3-4 days I got a Request Confirmed message.

So I handed over the relevant document to the regional office.
