About NIOS exam fees April 2026
The fee for the April 2026 session applies to students who registered for Stream 1 Block 1.
Existing students can also apply for this exam. The current NIOS exam fees for April 2026 for class 10 and 12 are Rs 300 per subject for theory and Rs 150 per subject for practical’s.
Deadline
As per the NIOS notification dated 04 November 2025, the exam fee submission portal will be available from 21 November to 20 December 2025, without a fine.
In case if you miss, you can still applying by paying a late fee. The late fee structure varies based on the duration of the delay.

How to Pay NIOS Exam Fees for April 2026
To pay your fees for the National Institute of Open Schooling, follow these steps:
- Open the website: https://sdmis.nios.ac.in/
- Go to the “Exams & Results” menu.
- Click on “Examination option.”
- Select “Pay Exam Fee-April 2026.”
- Enter your enrollment number and click on the “Submit button.
- Select your subjects and click on “Submit.”
- Select your payment gateway and complete the registration process.
After paying the NIOS April 2026 exam fees, you can easily download a receipt from the SDMIS portal.

- Click Examination under the exam & result menu.
- Click on Download fees receipt.

Note: If you have completed class 10th in 2025, and applied for 12, you can apply for a maximum of 4 subjects in 2026.
You can complete your remaining paper in 2027.
As per the rule, you need to maintain a two-year gap between the class 10th and 12th exams.
